Oh friends. We have been looking forward to this New Orleans wedding for months and months. And for so many reasons. Couples ask us all the time if we shoot destination weddings. And the answer is always: YES! We love to travel and are always up for an adventure. So, when Hayley told us she was going to get married in New Orleans, our excitement grew even more. But that was not the only reason…Both, Hayley and Randy come from multiple generations of love. A legacy of love. And that is what stuck out the most, from the first moment we met Hayley and Randy. Their warmth and love for one another is indescribable on paper.
We walked into a room filled with sunlight. Popping champagne bottles. The smell of sweet perfumes. And. One of the most precious smiles we have ever seen. A little shy. But from ear to ear. Looking down at her precious dress. And behind her. Her proud mommy, Hayley. Her grandmother. And great-grandmother. Four generations. Helping McKenna into her breathtaking lacy dress. Caring hands. Loving hearts. And cheerful smiles. All while getting ready for the most special day in their lives.
And moments later, we followed Hayley down the elevator. Into the streets. The sound of jazz. The warmth of the sunlight. And a bride, who was glowing as much as her sparkly diamond ring. She paused. Taking a deep breath. Looking at her fiancé. While he was patiently waiting to see his bride-to-be. For the first time. Excitement undeniable. Her smiles. Getting bigger with each step. His hands. Starting to shake more with each second that passed by. And then the the familiar feeling. Of Hayley’s hand touching Randy’s shoulder. Finally. He turned around. Speechless by the beauty of his stunning bride. Sharing hugs. Starting to realize. Forever, starts today!
Hayley and Randy. Your unconditional love for one another, for McKenna, for all of the generations in both of your families, and your 22 friends, that stood beside you, sweeps us off our feet. We could not be more grateful for meeting you, following along your journey as girlfriend and boyfriend, growing closer together as a family of three, to getting engaged, and now becoming husband and wife. Thank you for making us a part of your family and friends. It was truly such an honor and we are so excited for you to re-live your wedding day with a few of our favorites!
